This Nudibranch species presents itself with a varied colour range as you will see from the section content.
It varies in size from 60mm through to 94mm and in the particular location we discovered them, a good range of sizes were evident.
I’ve had two dives here to date and as you see from the images, some of them are in the mating mode, others just moving about among other sea life and even one in the process of laying its egg coils on the hydroid Nemertesia Ramosa.
It was the first time I had personally seen these Nudibranches in Arran though they were seen and photographed in 2006 by Sean Ferris, a past dive buddy of mine and also seen by Howard Wood of COAST.
